Best Lip Products of 2023

I’ve never been much of a girl who loves lip products. I never even used to use chapstick until recently. The most I would use was a lip scrub from time to time- that is until I discovered what a difference it can make in a beauty routine. This year, I realized that good lip products can make or break a makeup look. It took some trial and error, but I found my favorite products and here’s what I learned!

Starting at number one on the list is the NYX Cosmetics Fat Lip Oil. I use the shade called Newsfeed, a bright red that applies as a sheer cherry looking color. The reason Fat Oil is my favorite lip product as of right now is because it stays on ALL day. Most lip oils will wipe off after about an hour at most. They’re susceptible to wiping off after having a drink or a snack, but with Fat Oil, I don’t need to be constantly reapplying. The shine stays on for the long haul. It is also very moisturizing on my lips, and my lips haven’t be chapped or cracked in so long!

Second on my list of Holy Grail lip products is another banger from NYX Cosmetics: the twist up cream lip liner. I use the shade Red. Yup, just simply Red. When I use with the oil it creates the best effect. I use it to slightly overline my lips to get the perfect shaped pout. When I use it to overline, it doesn’t look drawn on or unnatural. It blends seamlessly due to it’s cream like consistency. Since its a twist up instead of a pencil, I don’t lose any product from sharpening it. Not to mention, its only 5$!!

Third on my list is a classic. The Too Faced Lip Injection lip plumping lip gloss has changed my life for the better. I use the shade Pretty Pony. This lip plumper works wonders for me. As someone who has thinner lips, I was super impressed by the way this product enhanced them, it looked like I had really gotten lip filler. It also lasts quite a while. It does sting your lips a little bit, but in my opinion, it is worth it for the look. It has a shimmery finish that really makes my lips pop, too! This is definitely one of the best glosses to use, although it is a bit pricy at $28. It is so worth it and since a little goes a long way, the tube will last a lot longer than you think!
